What has Bush vetoed lately?

After six years as president before losing what Stephen Colbert called his "veto virginity" President Bush has finally found a string of measures he believes warrant his intervention. Just what are these bills so unacceptable to our president?
Minimum Wage:
After 10 years of a stagnant minimum wage not even adjusted for inflation the Democratic Congress had the nerve to raise the minimum wage to a whopping $7.25 an hour over a period of two years. President Bush threatened a veto because Congress would not offer a big enough tax cut for small businesses. The minimum wage bill was later attached to an Iraq War supplemental funding bill and Bush had no choice but to sign it.
Stem Cell Research:
While killing thousands of Iraqi civilians fits into President Bush's "Culture of Life" apparently stem cell research doesn't make the cut. In fact, there were so many radicals in congress that it almost got the 67 votes needed to override in the senate. Thank god our great leader was there to intervene.
Iraq War Time Table:
President Bush not only insists that we succeed in Iraq but also that we not be in any hurry to do so. He vetoed a funding bill that, god forbid, had a suggested timetable for withdrawal that was not binding. However, it is possible that President Bush may be coming around. Rumor has it that he will announce his goal of a free and democratic Iraq within his grandchildren's lifetime.
Hate Crimes Legislation:
Extending protection to homosexuals under hate crime laws is redundant. Or at least that's the excuse that the White House gave when they couldn't think of any better reason for President Bush's veto threat. Once again, congress is attaching this to a defense spending bill. Will Bush take a principled stand against redundancy and veto? Only time will tell.
Children's Health Care:
Apparently running historical deficits is a great policy: except when you're spending money on health care for poor kids. President Bush is threatening to veto the historically bipartisan SCHIP (State Children's Health Insurance Program) legislation because Democrats want to spend $30 billion more than he does. Remind me, Mr. President, how much are we spending so that your grandkids can have a free and democratic Iraq?

SCHIP is SH*T
Thank goodness this otherwise inept fool pulled his head out of his 4ss to veto this program.
It is a tragic affair when an economically challenged child can not afford health care but it is a deplorable act of violence to force me to pay for it. (Continued…)
