Thursday, Nov. 16 saw the passing of famous American economist Milton Friedman, and it is an event of which those of all political persuasions should be acutely aware. Known for his intense advocacy of free markets and monetarism, Friedman was hailed as a genius during his life for his ideas about economics, and countries all over the world have said they owe him no less than the very future of their respective nations.
