It's not surprising to hear about people collecting stamps, coins or even crazy-eyed little dolls from foreign countries, but long time Eastern professor Gene Kleppinger has a collection all his own.
He likes ties.
Kleppinger, who helms over Blackboard as well as being a part-time philosophy professor, started wearing ties regularly back in 2000 when his office sat comfortably in the Keene Johnson building.

When Forbes.com released an article earlier this year naming Memphis one of the most miserable cities in the country, University of Memphis sophomore Alexandra Pusateri decided to do something about it.
After phone calls and discussions with family and friends about the article, Pusateri, journalism and international studies major, decided to address Memphis issues and controversies in "Beyond Beale Street," a documentary set to premiere in spring 2011.

You may remember the band HANSON by its 1997 pop hit "MMMBop," but brothers Zac, Taylor and Isaac have more to offer than just a bubble gum pop song. All three members play instruments and offer vocals on each track, which has led to the group's success of more than 15 million records sold throughout its career, Grammy nominations and the release of a fifth record, Shout it Out.
